For family, friends, food, and a roof over our heads! Sorry for the lack of pictures. We spent our Thanksgiving up at Andy's parents house, and we were just having too much fun to remember to get the camera out! =)

sb half marathon

Well, I wasn't exactly prepared for this one! As you can see by the pictures, by the end I was literally dragging my feet. It was very fun having family at the finish line though and running through SB!

trick or treat

Every year, the shops along Carpinteria's main street are open for a couple hours in the afternoon around Halloween handing out candy. Mimi and Pop-pop are staying with us for the weekend, so we brought along Spiderman and his ballerina sidekick to get some free candy...

This past week, we've had a serious heat wave of 85+ weather, which called for the good old fashioned slip 'n slide...

cole's first field trip

Cole took his first field trip yesterday to Lane Farms pumpkin patch. The kids got to look at animals, pump water from an old fashioned water pump, go on a hay ride, pick out a pumpkin to take home, but most of all, they got to ride there and back on a yellow school bus! Cole had been talking about the trip all week, and was so excited to be there with his class. Harper and I tagged along, took a bunch of pictures, and just loved being there with Cole and getting to see him interact with all his classmates. Harper loved it, and followed directions better than Cole; I'm sure she was wondering when she was going to get her blue shirt... =)

puppy love

While Cole and Dax continue to act like stepbrothers; not letting Cole anywhere near him without nipping or wrestling him to the ground, Dax lets Harper crawl on, and hug him whenever she wants. He's so gentle with her, and it's just one of the reasons I wanted to get a dog when the kids were little...

we're back

Wow - I didn't realize how long it'd been since we've posted! We are still around, just lost the charger cable for our camera, and finally bought another one. We've been busy! Cole started preschool, Harper started walking, and Andy and I are keeping ourselves busy mostly chasing after them. Either way, we're back and snapping away! Here's a few from a day at the park...
