big announcement...

Cole is going to be a big brother! I had my first appointment this morning, and getting to see that little baby with it's heart fluttering was so special. I'm almost 9 weeks, and despite a few random waves of nausea and long days requiring a nap, I'm feeling great. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy! We are due July 23rd and can't wait to welcome another precious baby into our family...

jam session

Cole has been very into music from day one. He loves playing grandpa's guitar, listening to music in the car, dancing (all day every day), and more recently...listening to my iPod. For a while, I'd put music on and we'd share the ear buds, but he'd back away laughing, acting like it tickled his ears. This time, he was really jammin! The only problem was getting the ear buds to stay tucked in his tiny little ears! And don't worry - it was classical music. ;)

P.S. The new header picture is one of many that Dan Ramming took for our Christmas card. I'm having trouble uploading the others, but want to share some favorites. Hopefully I'll get them up soon...

over the river and through the woods...

to Mimi and Pop-Pops house we go! For Thanksgiving we were up in Monterey. We had a deliciously barbequed turkey and enjoyed a relaxing weekend!

late night snack

Like father like son...watching a movie and bonding over a big bowl of popcorn. Andy just got home from a week long business trip, and we're so glad he's back! =)

Lane Farms

What more can I say? Lane Farms is the best pumpkin patch, and we went again this year with our PEP group. Hopefully when a group picture gets sent around I'll add it. Otherwise, Marisa did all the picture taking - and got some great shots! I will say it was our first time doing the corn maze....arrrggghhhh! Lets just say we found our way out by back-tracking to the entrance - never made it through. =)

our new couches

My sweet husband bought me my dream couches (a sofa and loveseat-white, slipcovered, and adorable!!!) at Ikea about a month ago. I know you think I'm crazy, but I really was doing so well at being careful, until Tuesday morning when Cole escaped my watchful eye and hucked a bottle of blackish-blue nail polish that landed about two inches in front of my beautiful white sofa and shattered into a million pieces. At least it served to be a great ice-breaker at our bible study which I hosted that afternoon... =)

(as sung by Natalie of course!) Here's some of our PEP group girls and kiddos, hanging out at Hidden Valley Park. Now that we're all settled in at the house, Cole and I are getting back into our (highly missed) weekly activities, like meeting with the girls...

Notice a family resemblance? ;) We're having a garage sale tomorrow, and after sifting through boxes, I found some photos of Andy, and I immediately thought of the last post and how much Cole looks like him! It's funny how people who don't know Andy, say that Cole looks just like me, and no doubt he's a good mix of us both, but I wish I had these pictures handy to show them...cause it would justify my comment ten times over. If you think he looks just like me, then you haven't met my husband. =)

mom's birthday present

We celebrated both our birthdays this year by having quiet dinners at home. It was nice for a change, as I turned 25 and Andy turned 32, to justify the fact that the older we get, the desire for a party decreases... ;) Andy got me a bike seat for my birthday, and Cole has been loving it - if you can't already tell from the first picture!

P.S. Sorry there aren't any inside pics of the house yet - still getting organized, and we'd much rather you all came over and saw it in person...possibly for a BBQ!
