christmas cookies

Keeping the kids busy on a rainy day equals lots of sugar and laughter... And I'm not sure what kind of face Cole is trying to make on that second picture. We love our friends!

six years

Saturday the eleventh, was Andy and I's six year anniversary! We had an amazing dinner at Opal, and are going to see Westside Story at the Pantages Theater on Thursday! Just a quick mushy note about my husband...

Not only is he a selfless husband and doting father, but he is truly my best friend. These last few months as some of you know, have been extremely challenging for our family. Not only did Harper have really bad colic, but I struggled with postpartum anxiety and panic attacks. I've never experienced anything like it, and can only give credit to him for me still being sane. I can't believe how much we've been through, and I couldn't imagine going through it with anyone else. I love you sweets - Happy Anniversary!

the man of the hour...

No, its not Cole's birthday, but I just wanted to put up a special post about what a great big brother he's been. I'm sure you can tell how much he loves Harper from all pictures, but he really has been so sweet to her even in the beginning when all she did was cry all day and night. =) On top of that, we can also officially say he's potty trained! It took a solid month, but only a couple months after he's even sleeping through the night without a diaper. We're so proud of him!

sweet laughter

Don't worry - I kept a close eye to avoid whiplash. The video is really long...she could have laughed at him all day, but we wanted to avoid any permanent damage. ;)

harper love

Thanks to a couple of my girlfriends (you know who you are), Harper is now on a schedule and doing wonderfully! She is four months today, and much happier even in the past week, than she's ever been!

to infinity and BEEyond...

Mimi and Pop-pop came to stay with us over Halloween weekend, and then stayed for a few more days while Andy was on a business trip. We all had so much fun carving pumpkins, handing out candy, and going to the zoo! Cole was so excited to have them here first thing in the morning, and I was so thankful to have their help while Andy was gone!

three months

Our sweet Harper girl is already three months old! Ok...I'm not going to lie, it seems like she should be turning 1. It's been a long three months, that's for sure! The colic hasn't 'disappeared' like our pediatrician said it would, but she's definitely not as bad as she used to be, just extremely high maintenance. =) Some of her three month stats are:

-weighs 13 pounds 5 oz (about a week ago)
-is 23 inches long
-averages in the 50th percentile
-rolls over from back to front
-hates tummy time
-sleeps swaddled (that Miracle Blanket really is a MIRACLE!)
-loves sleeping in the sling
-needs attention ALL day
-lasts about ten minutes on her play mat (if I'm lucky)
-loves her mommy, daddy, and big brother Cole!!!

Despite her being a lot of work, Andy and I always agree that this is just a phase and we have to realize that God has blessed and entrusted us with this precious, healthy, beautiful baby girl, and we couldn't be more lucky!

We cheered for my Dad as he crossed the finish line after riding 100 miles throughout the SB county. We are so proud of him, and Andy's already starting to train for next years' race. ;)

guess who

For those of you who have known my sisters and I since we were little, you'd probably agree that Harper is definitely a Dohm girl. The top picture is actually my younger sister Heather, and it's crazy how much they look alike! Biggest similarity to her auntie...the hair. =)
